Our Story

We partnered together to share the Gospel and make Disciples among the nations.

“As servants of the Lord, with full time trust and honesty, together we sacrifice our lives to intentionally give all we have for God’s Glory. ”

How We Met

Kim and David were set up by mutual friends in Spring 2019, Kim being from Oregon and David from California they had a long distant friendship until Fall 2020 when they decided to pursue marriage. Having only seen each other in person 5 times prior to deciding to get married. Kimberly moved to California in January 2021 and they joyfully married four months later.

Where we come from and why we are here.

After both being raised in stable Christian homes, Kim and David individually saw that as a platform to launch off of, not just repeat. When they met each other, it was evident they both shared in the same mindset of “how can we be most available and attentive to live out the gospel, wherever we are?'“ Despite being set up when they met, both were very open about how they saw singleness as a gift and didn’t see a need to step out of that. They had a deep friendship from the beginning, where they encouraged and prayed for each other in the seasons they were each in. David doing disaster relief domestically, auditing bible classes, and Kim using school, work, and jh/high school groups as the mission field at that time. Over the months, their communication became very unanimous. David began to realize both their goals not only in singleness alined, but when they would talk of marriage. He saw Kims heart as someone he could partner with to intentionally serving the Lord.

Once marriage was Davids goal, things moved quickly as it became evident to both of them that marriage was what God was asking them to be obedient in, for Him. They joyfully, peacefully, and purposefully joined as one. Desiring for their marriage to be available for moving, and the long term goal of full time missions. They got a trailer to live in, to keep the cost low, and to help not settle into the American dream. They were advised by a trusted couple in their church to take the first year of marriage and not cannon ball into anyone particular ministry. They took that year to grow together and step into short term opportunities as a newly marriage couple. This was also something in the bible we see when men would hold off in going into battle during their first year of marriage (Deuteronomy 24:5).

In their first year, they had a hand full of opportunities to learn more about Gods heart for the brokenhearted, suffering, discouraged, and hopeless. They found how easy it is to see the brokenhearted in spirit, feel compassion, but then go back to their own lives. How easy it is to be self centered, and focused on personal conveniences over convictions. One particular area of conviction over the year was for the brothers and sisters in Christ apart of the global Church who are truly being persecuted for their faith. The other being compassion for those who are innocently caught between conflict zones, living in constant tragedy, and those being taken advantage of.

Both Kim and David have done domestic disaster relief, and have found that while there is opportunity to serve, bless, and encourage those who have lost so much, they find it necessary to pursue opportunities that allow longterm discipleship. God has clearly given them an ability to be mobile, able to uproot and move, plant, and repeat. While overtime growing the root system, with the goal of edifying the global church, and bringing news of current happening from around the world. The family of God is one of the greatest gifts of being united with Christ, it unites people who seem to have nothing in common. At the table of Jesus all are welcome, and they hope to making the name of Jesus known.
